I studied computer science at ETH Zurich in from 2001-2007 where I then also did my PhD in physics-based simulation at the Computer Graphics Laboratory from 2007-2011. After that, I worked as a PostDoc at Disney Research Zurich where I worked on animation-specific projects.
Since 2012 I'm working as a research scientist at VirtaMed AG, a surgical simulation startup company emerged from ETH Zurich where I'm responsible for general research projects in collaboration with different universities. In particular, I investigate into novel ways to perform realistic physics-based simulation with focus on the real-time context of surgical simulation.
